This year's prefects have been selected from the three Year 6 Classes. They were selected by the Year 5 and 6 teachers based on a number of different factors, such as being great role models and kind members of our school community. Our head boy and head girl were also chosen.
Our Sports Ambassadors kicked off our leader assemblies this term. They introduced themselves and reviewed what impact they had in the last academic year. The children spoke about their role going forward and encouraged the children to be healthy and to do some exercise outside of school. Well done everyone!
Our Year 2 children have been learning about Significant Individuals in History.
They thought about who might be the most significant individual in History and who might be the least. They then had to sort and organise the people into a diamond and justify their reasons why they thought people were significant to society and history or not. Well done Year 2!
Welcome back to all of our pupils, parents and staff!
Happy Summer holidays to all of our pupils, parents and staff! We look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday 27th August!
Our Year 6 children have performed their leavers assembly 'Harry Potter and the Leavers Assembly' to the rest of the school this week. With appearances from Baby the car , he who must not be named and Professor Odedra and his lightsaber, it was absolutely hilarious!
Some of our children have been busy helping Mrs Sheerin in the allotment this week! The children have harvested some of the vegetables and the herbs before presenting them to our school cook in the kitchen! Sue has then used the vegetables to cook our school meals!
Our Reception children have thoroughly enjoyed role-playing conversations in their ice cream van this week! The children have been learning about the seaside and activities that happen there. The children were really confident in practising their two-way conversations!
Our Year 5 children really enjoyed their school trip to the King Richard III Visitor Centre as well as Leicester Cathedral earlier in the week. The children have been learning about King Richard III in their History lessons and they had a fantastic time. Well done Year 5!
Our children thoroughly enjoyed the school's sponsored Colour Dash before half term. As a school we were able to raise £1700 for the Leicester Children's Holiday Charity. Thank you for all of your generous contributions!
Our therapy dog Harper made national news this week! Some of our children and Miss Jackson were interviewed regarding school therapy dogs.
