Our Year 1 children have been busy planting in the new school allotment. The children had the opportunity to weed the growing box and plant either a sunflower or some marigold seeds. The children are really enjoying their Science learning. Well done Year 1!

The allotment is looking beautiful this morning! We are growing beetroot, lettuce Brussels sprouts and lots of herbs! The children enjoy seeing the changes in the allotment everyday!

The children enjoyed a variety of presentations provided by the characters around the village. The children learnt so much and had a great day! Well done Year 5!
Our Year 5 children enjoyed their trip to the Black Country Museum last week. The children were able to learn about different periods of history and immerse themselves in a representation of the industrial landscape of the Black Country.
Our Year 1 children enjoyed their trip to the Leicester Botanical Gardens last week. The children were able to develop their learning on Plants and Flowers by carrying out a variety of activities. The children were able to explore tropical and desert plants in the greenhouses. The children planted their own cress seeds and learnt about what a plant needs in order to grow.
Today Miss Jackson introduced our Therapy Dog Harper to the Reception children. Our Reception children have been learning about caring for animals and pets.
The children enjoyed learning about Harper's equipment and they learnt how to stroke her gently. Well done Reception!
Our Year 1 children have been improving their Computing skills this afternoon and have created their own Jack and the Beanstalk stories using Google Slides! The children worked hard to insert and resize the images. Well done Year 1!

Our Rainbow Group has been learning about all the differences between them. The children enjoyed the story 'Mrs Rainbow' and developed their empathy and understanding skills. Well done Rainbow Group!
