Leicester City Council are delighted to announce that a range of free online parenting courses are available for all residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland from today.
The Solihull Approach courses cover concerns that parents often face with children, from before they are born to early adulthood, including physical and mental health, understanding their feelings and how to build better relationships.
The courses include the same content as you would receive in a typical face-to-face parenting group run by health visitors. They are available in 108 languages, with voiceovers in English and Urdu. Each course has a number of different components, and they can be accessed at any time and any place.

Our Year 5 children have been learning how to make healthy lollipops in Cooking this week. The children used a variety of ingredients when making them. Well done Year 5!
Sandy from Leicester Libraries came in to speak to the Year 2 children about the 'Our Best Picture Book' competition. The children will be taking a range of books home to read and they will then need to vote for their favourite. I wonder which book will be the most popular?!

Our Year 5 children have been taking part in 'Bikeability' this week. The children have been learning about road safety and how to keep themselves and others safe when they are out riding their bikes. Excellent cycling skills Year 5!
Our Reception children have been developing their coding skills by exploring the coding critters! The children were able to create their own codes by using a range of directions. The children also used obstacles and had to adapt their code so that the critter would avoid them!
This week it is Children's Mental Health week. Our wellbeing ambassadors introduced themselves to everyone during assembly on Monday. The children spoke about Children's Mental health week and their intentions for the future as ambassadors.
Gong hei fat choi! Happy Chinese New Year to you all! On Monday, our Year 3 children held an assembly all about Chinese New Year. The children acted out the chinese new year story and informed us that this year it is the year of the rabbit! Well done Year 3!
Our Year 6 children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Warning Zone earlier this week. At the Warning Zone the children developed their skills and knowledge on personal and online safety. The children had a fantastic day! Well done Year 6!
