Our Key Stage Two children have been taking part in a basketball tournament at lunchtimes and competing with other schools across the county. The children performed admirably and a special mention to Year 4 who came first!

Our Year 1 children have been learning to write their own postcards based on the story 'Katie in London.' The children learnt about the features that a postcard has and they drew the front of the postcard too. Well done Year 1!
Chestnut Class have been busy learning about the story ‘The Pirate Cruncher.’ The children thoroughly enjoyed the story and have been talking about it ever since! Excellent writing Chestnut Class!

It is sleep awareness day on Friday 17th March 2023 and the Healthy Together School Nursing Service have created the poster below which talks about sleep being essential for good health.
Sleep is essential to children's alertness and concentration levels which is really important when they are at school. You can find more advice by scanning the QR code below.

For World Book Day Hazel Class designed a sweet for Willy Wonka's factory based on their learning of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' The children created a model for the sweet and in the afternoon created a persuasive advert. Well done children!
Our Year 5 children created their own Space dioramas for homework over half-term as part of their learning on Space! The children used a variety of materials to create them, and they thoroughly enjoyed making them and presenting them to each other too! Well done Year 5!
Our Year 6 and Year 2 children have really enjoyed meeting and reading with their reading buddies! They discussed who their favourite authors are with each other. Excellent reading everyone!
Leicester City Council are delighted to announce that a range of free online parenting courses are available for all residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland from today.
The Solihull Approach courses cover concerns that parents often face with children, from before they are born to early adulthood, including physical and mental health, understanding their feelings and how to build better relationships.
The courses include the same content as you would receive in a typical face-to-face parenting group run by health visitors. They are available in 108 languages, with voiceovers in English and Urdu. Each course has a number of different components, and they can be accessed at any time and any place.
