The Lion King in London!
Our Year 6 children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to London yesterday! The children went on the London Eye to see the sights of London before going to the Lyceum Theatre to see The Lion King! Everyone had a fantastic day!

Last week some of our children took part in an Ultimate Frisbee competition! The team did really well and they came joint second with Mellor Primary School! Well done everyone!
Our Year 2 children had a visit from author Andrew Sanders yesterday. Andrew spoke about how he became an author and he read some of his published books to the children. The children really enjoyed Andrew's workshop when he taught them how to write their own story!
Join us at our Summer Festival on Wednesday 5th July from 15:30pm until 18:30pm! We will have lots of stalls, food and drink, an ice-cream van and a raffle!
Here are some of our Eco sculptures that we have been creating this week out of recycled plastic objects. Some local schools have been collaborating together on this project! They look fantastic!
Our Year 1 children have been busy planting marigolds and cress this week! The children have learnt about being respectful towards plants and the environment. They have also learnt about different garden tools and the parts of plants!
Our Year 5 children have been learning about Judaism this week in their R.E. lessons. The children created an exhibition of their learning at the end of the day and other classes were able to visit the exhibition and learn about Judaism, ask questions and pay compliments!
Our Year 1 children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Leicester Botanical Gardens last week. The children learnt about a range of different trees, they created bark rubbings and they planted their own cress whilst they were there. Well done children!
Our Year 2 children have been very busy over the half-term holidays! The children used a variety of materials to create their own project boxes about their new Science unit of work on 'Animal Survival.'
I am sure you will agree they have put lots of effort into creating their homework!
As a school we are taking part in Beat the Street again this year. The initiative is encouraging everyone to walk, cycle or scoot across the city in June and July.
The whole family can collect points by scanning your card at the different beat boxes that are around the city.
